Introduction

Hi, my name is Hannah Koltis; I am 17 years old and a senior at Thorp High School.  I am involved in Cheerleading, FBLA, Forensics, Band, Yearbook, and Drama.  I enjoy boating, fishing, going to the movies, swimming, and hanging out with friends and family.  I am fairly outgoing, but tend to be a little shy when meeting new people.

When it comes to how I think about things, I interpret everything differently.  If it is relating to my life, work or school I take it seriously and put my whole head into it.  If it something that is a little more laid back and not that serious, I am pretty easy going, so, I just go with the flow.

It is hard to come up with exactly how I process information.  I guess it depends if its about school, It usually takes me a few times to finally catch onto what I am doing.  I usually read stuff at least twice through to make sure I understand what I am to do.  If it pertains to meeting new people or just everyday life, I do just fine.

I think I learn best when I get to do activities hands on.  When it comes out of a book it is a little harder for me to comprehend right away.  If you describe what is going on through notes, I will catch on a little bit faster.  If it is hands on, I get to experience first hand what goes on in a project and it’s easier for me to figure out.  I will also inform you that I am a horrible test taker.  I don’t usually have a problem with my everyday work, but when it comes to a test, I blank out and do horrible.  If you have any tips for me that will help, please feel free to let me know, otherwise I will always try to do my best on my work.

I am a pretty easygoing person who gets along with everybody. I work well with others and am willing to help others who need it.  I will do just about anything that I am asked of.

Cheerleading, forensics, and drama have helped me develop confidence to stand in front of people and speak.  Being Miss Thorp and getting the opportunity to represent the city of Thorp, I have found myself required to meet and greet strangers. I was never able to do this before but I am now much more relaxed and confident in being in the public eye.

I take after my mother the most.  I like to do everything hands on and be shown how to do different things, instead of having to read the instructions a hundred times.  Sometimes we both think alike and can come up with the same type of answer to the same questions that we are asked.  We both like to work with people and come up with new ideas on how to do something.  The one thing I got from my father was creativity.  I love to do different types of crafts.  When I do them though, I like to design how I’m going to make things myself and not have someone tell me how I have to do it.
